800G Passive DAC

Not recommended for 800G applications. At 112G PAM4 signaling rates, passive copper twinax experiences severe signal degradation beyond 1-2 meters due to channel loss and impedance discontinuities.

Wave2Wave recommends Active Electrical Cables (AEC) for 800G copper interconnects, which use integrated re-drivers and equalizers to maintain signal integrity across lengths up to 7 meters.
